A Very Medieval Summer
This summer, we’ve spent most weekends outside in Rhos on Sea and Conwy, with Costro’s World of Magicka and Mysticism. Although we’ve done close up magic before, on the streets at the Llandudno Victorian Extravaganza; doing whole shows outside was completely new to us. We’ve learnt a whole new set of skills – how to draw in a crowd, picking tricks that are very visual and various other street theatre skills. The show developed with every performance, and evolved to fit the changing nature of each new crowd. Costro has started learning how to juggle, and Eleri is learning how to spin poi. We met some great people, and we’re really looking forward to working with them again: The Coastal Hawks Project The Freelancing Knights of Redemption Harley the Jester Stiltmania Ed and Emma, the wandering minstrels Knights Gone By

Photoshoot
It’s high time we had some new photographs on the website, so this weekend we spent several hours taking new ones. It looks like we got some really good images, but you’ll have to wait just a little bit longer before they go up on the website. It would be far too cruel to tell you about the photographs and not let you see any, so here’s a sneak preview: These are the first photographs of Costro and Eleri, the characters in our new medieval act, Costro’s World of Magicka and Mysticism. As you can see, it’s never a good idea to upset your assistant, especially when she has a trick as dangerous as a guillotine! *no magicians were harmed in the taking of these photographs
