Two Eras in One Day

It’s rather fitting that, after a weekend revolving around time travel with Doctor Who, we visited the both the Victorian and Medieval eras in one day.

We were in Beaumaris for their Victorian Christmas Festival, performing Christmas themed shows and close up magic for most of the day. Keiran, the dancing statue, also joined us in the square to keep the crowds entertained. It was a little cold and wet, but that didn’t deter the visitors from flocking to the town.

Later that evening, we travelled up to Caer Rhun hall, in the Conwy valley, to entertain the diners at a medieval banquet. The hall was amazing, with roaring open fires to keep everyone warm. It was fabulous to see everyone all dressed up in Medieval costume and joining in the fun and games with such enthusiasm.

Bernie and the Doctor

bernie-tardis

We took Bernie the Bunny to the International Eisteddfodd in July, and while we were there he developed  a liking for Doctor Who. As you can see from this photograph, we had great difficulty in prising him off the T.A.R.D.I.S. doors! So when he heard that the Day of the Doctor was going to be shown in the cinema, he got very excited.

But they don’t allow rabbits in the cinema, and poor Bernie got very upset. In the end, we had to buy him lots and lots of Doctor Who things, and promise that we would let him watch it on the television later.

Bernie was still a bit jealous when we set out for the cinema on Saturday evening, but he did like Jay’s Tenth Doctor costume.

We’ve all watched the Day of the Doctor now, and Bernie is already looking forward to seeing the Christmas special!

Bernie meets Conwy County Wrestling

We had so much fun with Conwy County Wrestling at their Halloween Havok show, and this time we brought along a special guest!

People always connect magicians with rabbits, and Bernie the Bunny is our rabbit. We take him with us wherever we travel, and he meets lots of people. We thought he would like to meet some of the wrestlers…

Byson seemed rather puzzled by Bernie. The wrestlers from the Golden Embassy were mean to Bernie, but he was rescued by Jack Union.

As well as the wrestling, the Oxjam Llandudno team were there, raising money by painting nails. A lot of the wrestlers had their nails painted in pretty colours, but Jay chose a classic black nail varnish!
