Prestatyn Field Day Festival

l-r: Eyryd Le Fol the Conwy Jester, the Mayor of Prestatyn, Professor Llusern, Jay Gatling the Wizard of Conwy

The recent Prestatyn Field Day Festival featured lots of great entertainment from local performers, including Jay.

One of the highlights of the day was escapologist Dave Diamond’s recreation of Harry Houdini’s famous “water torture cell” escape.

Thanks as always to Robert Mann, for allowing us to use his photographs

Viv Perry, Mayor of the Bay of Colwyn

I was so pleased that Jay Gatling agreed to take part in a young peoples’ variety show “Shine” at Theatr Colwyn, Colwyn Bay on Nov 30th 2012.

The act formed the finale of the show and was lively, colourful and clever. It left the audience completely spellbound and wondering “How on earth did they do that?”

I would not hesitate to ask them back if I put on another show, and will certainly recommend them to others.

Shine at Theatr Colwyn

We were delighted to be asked by Viv Perry, the Mayor of the Bay of Colwyn, to take part in Shine recently. Theatr Colwyn is a special place for us, as it’s where Elemental’s first public performance took place.

The show was a celebration of the talents of young people in the Colwyn Bay area, and featured lot of local acts, including dancers The Unknown, Hallam Cleverley, Bryn Ellian School, Alaw Tastig and  Kieran Eastwood-Mulvaney, with Mr Dilwyn Price as the compere. All proceeds from the show went to McMillan Cancer Support and Action for Children (Young Carers).

I couldn’t resist taking this photograph of our dressing room door – we’ve never had a star on the door before! Oddly enough, this was the same dressing room as our first performance here in 2009.

It was lovely to be back at Theatr Colwyn, and we hope we’ll be back again soon!
