Llangollen International Eisteddfod 2015 Photographs

We had a great day at the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod last week.

2015 was the 68th year the Eisteddfod has been held annually, and the 3rd year that we’ve entertained the crowds on the field.

As usual, we were working with HTC Entertainments alongside Harley the Clown and the jester Erwyd.

The weather was very mixed this year, with downpours of rain in the morning, followed by glorious sunshine in the afternoon!

Doing magic in the rain can be a little tricky, as playing cards get soggy very quickly, but we managed to find some shelter.

We were also fortunate to have a spot on the Penddol Stage, so our audience could stay nice and dry while they watched the show.

Everything soon dried out when the sun began to shine, and it was great to see so many people enjoying themselves.

You can read more about the Eisteddfod on their website.

Two The Hilt: Conwy Pirate Weekend 2015

Conwy Pirate Weekend 2015 saw the début performance of Two The Hilt’s epic pirate sword fight.

Erwyd had discovered a rare artefact, one that Gatling had been searching for… so like all good pirates, they decided to settle the matter of ownership with a good old-fashioned duel!

Swords clashed and banter was traded, and after the blindfold challenge was complete, only one pirate could be victorious.

There was a great atmosphere with so many of the crowd dressed up in their best pirate costumes, and it was fabulous to be out in the sunshine. All our audiences over the weekend were really enthusiastic, cheering on their favourite pirate to win.

CCW – Super 8

With all the excitement of Pirate Weekend, I almost forgot to post pictures of the Super 8 Tournament!

Conwy County Wrestling teamed up with HTC Entertainment & Events for this show, and it was bigger and better than ever before.

The new venue of Bryn Cadno Community Centre in upper Colwyn Bay gave the wrestlers lots of room to wow the audience with their moves.

It was a brilliant night as always, and AJ Hughes was the well-deserved winner.

We had a blast at Conwy Pirate Weekend, and we’ve got lots of pictures to share with you all.

As you can see, Jay absolutely loved dressing up as a pirate!

This was the 4th annual pirate weekend, and just like last year things got off to a damp start with rain on the Saturday morning. Thankfully, the weather improved and by midday there was bright sunshine.

But a little bit of rain didn’t dampen anybody’s enthusiasm, and there were soon crowds of people down on the quay to enjoy the event.

There was plenty to see and do, including cannon fire, pirate re-enactment, birds of prey, and a pirate circus show.

The barrel races were spectacular, with fierce competition for first place, but there could only be one winner.

Captain Jay took the crowds on a magical voyage, with his Journey of Wonder show.

Conwy Pirate Weekend 2015 was brilliant, and we can’t wait to be back again next year for the 5th anniversary!

Two The Hilt at the Llandudno Victorian Extravaganza

two-the-hilt-star-wars-day

As we mentioned in a recent post, we’ve been working on a brand new project. And as May the 4th is Star Wars Day, we thought it would be the ideal day to launch Two The Hilt.

Working with Erwyd le Fol, the Conwy Jester, we’ve created a fun and dramatic combat display show, suitable for all sorts of events and occasions.

As well as a lightsaber duel in full Jedi costume, we also have a swashbuckling pirate duel, a medieval mage versus a jester, Victorian gentlemen, and more.

There’s lots more exciting Two The Hilt news coming up soon, so  follow us on our Facebook page and make sure you don’t miss out!
